Snapchat is a hugely popular messaging app that allows users to share photos, texts and videos, i.e. ‘Snaps’. Snapchat is beginning to integrate new and easy ways to report harassment, bullying, and other safety concerns right in the app — though we hope you never have to use it.
Report a Story
To report a Story in an Our Story, Search, Map, Custom Story, or Group Story, press and hold on the content until a 🏳️ button appears in the bottom left corner. Tap it to let Snapchat know what’s going on — we’ll do our best to help!
Report a Snap
To report a Snap you’ve received, press and hold on the Snap until a 🏳️ button appears in the bottom left corner. Tap it to to report the Snap and let us know about the offensive content!
Report an Account
To report an account, press and hold on that Snapchatter’s name and tap the button. Then, tap ‘Report’ to reach out to us — we’re here to help!
Report a Story Found on the Web
- From a computer, hover your mouse over the video and tap then click ‘Report‘
- From a phone or tablet, tap to report
To exit, user your browser’s 🔙 button. If you ever need to report something you see in Search in the app, press and hold on whatever Snap you’re watching, then tap the 🏳️ in the bottom-left corner to reach out to Snapchat directly.
