HOW IT WORKS.
HelpMeInternet.net is an initiative to protect us from trolls, bullies, stalkers and all kinds of abusive behavior on the internet.
We will not only just teach you how to defend yourself and your account but we are also launching the #helpmeinternet hashtag so you can report accounts that were created with the intention of harassing other users. By using the hashtag #helpmeinternet and linking the user’s account that is being abusive, all users on the internet can follow the hashtag, evaluate if the account is really harassing and reporting to the social media network.
- Example #helpmeinternet this account XYZ is bullying me!!!
When someone tries to comment on your account, photo or update, you have full control to erase their comments, filter their text and block them.
But when someone creates an anonymous account to bully you, then you need some crowdsourcing help.
By using the hashtag #helpmeinternet, you can leverage the good people on the internet following this hashtag to fight and shut down online trolls.
